One of the most beautiful and enduring symbols of the Dia de Muertos celebration in Mexico are the ever-present bundles of huge marigolds that decorate ofrendas and tombstones. Our blooms are handmade of sturdy paper in three shades of golden yellow and orange and are attached to bendable green paper-wrapped wire stems. Each bloom measures about 3" across, and we wrap six blooms on a sturdy plastic headband. The paper flowers are handmade in Mexico and we cover the headbands using those flowers here in Lake Worth. Very popular at our local Dia de Los Muertos processions!
